We spent a beautiful fall afternoon plein air painting at Lake Faulkton, SD. Judith's results are posted on the left. The lighthouse on the right was painted by Judith from a photo reference on Wet Canvas landscape challenge. It won Best of Show and also a first place at The Faulkton Hat's Off to the Artist show. Both 8x10 oil.

  1. Your site is beautiful. Such a fun place for me to visit, often finding familiar works of art in addition to two favorite people :)
It's been a dreadfully cold day for all of us in the midwest. Thank goodness for studio space and the impetus to make use of it. Topped off my afternoon of painting with a steaming bowl of Oyster Stew. Now where is that Santa Claus??

  2. Your winter pictures are so heartwarming I had to turn the fan up, it is summer for us here in W. Australia and the colours we use now are so different from the ones you use. I can certainly see why the lighthouse painting won best in show!
